Meet Michelle
Hi! I’m Michelle, the wedding photographer behind Michelle Lynn Weddings. I have a penchant for authentic, timeless, and joyful photographs, and I’m drawn to photographing weddings with a mix of romantic, natural portraits and photojournalistic style. I frequently photograph weddings in Philadelphia, and I love that New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New York are simply a car ride away.
Though I love to capture any story, those that unfold on a wedding day will always feel the most special to me. I hold fast to my belief that anything that makes you happy - from your carefully curated details to your final dance surrounded by the ones you love - deserves the spotlight. And, I believe in embracing every moment – planned and hoped-to-be-avoided – because they add to the story of your celebration. I want the story you live on one of your most special days to be preserved in photos, so you, your families, and your friends can cherish it for years to come.
Growing up, I always had a fascination with photography and how it can preserve moments in time. This interest led me to Ithaca College where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Cinema and Photography. During college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Sydney, Australia and to backpack through New Zealand, camera in tow documenting my experiences. Being overseas fueled my love for adventure and cemented my belief that a vacation is one spent relaxing by the ocean, but traveling involves becoming immersed in a city’s culture. There was a year when I saw an alt rock or indie concert every week. It was the best year – hands-down – and I’ve been trying to recreate it ever since. When I’m not photographing, I love visiting my favorite local coffee shop in the afternoon, watching thrilling shows that make me countdown until the next episode, and spending time with friends and family.
