This ritual is performed to remove all the obstacles and bring happiness and prosperity to the couple. After the pujas concluded, everyone moved to the backyard for the groom’s Haldi ceremony. I recently photographed Ruchi and Ryan’s traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at Anoopam Mission in the Lehigh Valley. Ruchi and Ryan’s closest family and friends surrounded them as they tied the knot, and the ceremony was truly a beautiful union between Ruchi and Ryan, as well as their families. Immediately following the ceremony, the joyful couple greeted all of their guests. After their family and friends congratulated them, they braved the cold and windy winter weather for some portraits around the scenic temple grounds.
